Bounded email follow-up
Invoice Payment Reminders
Follow up after an invoice email is accepted without turning your account into a bulk sender. Choose review-first or automatic reminders, then let payment and client responses stop the sequence.
How it works
A reminder starts with a real delivery
A setting alone does not enrol old invoices. The sequence begins only after Invoise successfully emails a final unpaid invoice to that recipient.
Choose the reminder policy
Keep reminders off, review each proposed email, or allow automatic sending on the schedule you set.
The owner opts in; paid-plan eligibility is checked again before sending.
Send the invoice once
A provider-accepted manual Invoise email pins the recipient and enrols that invoice. Imported or download-only history is not backfilled.
The reminder cannot silently choose a different address later.
Let the response change the queue
The client can promise a date, request more time, report payment or stop reminders from an opaque response link.
Responses pause or stop reminders; they never mark the invoice paid.
Controls and limits
Designed to stop before it becomes noise
Eligibility is checked when the reminder is due and again at the final sending boundary.
- Timing
- At most three due-date-relative slots, at least two days apart, on business-local weekdays.
- State
- Paid, void, cancelled, archived or recipient-mismatched invoices stop.
- Delivery
- Hard bounces and complaints suppress the recipient and stop the affected lifecycle.
- Tracking
- Reminder emails contain no open or click tracking.
Boundary
A payment report is not a payment record
When a client says they paid, reminders pause while the business checks its records. Only the business can record the payment in Invoise.
